PC Native Model and DJ...DJ DELTONIA CANNON
I have been on this lady for some time now...I have requested....and requested...and requested an interview and she finally said yes. We often talk over the phone about her ventures as a model, but she is also a DJ...yes a DJ...so Bigg B worlders...I introduce you to DJ Deltonia!
You are not new to the model industry...how long have been modeling and what was your motivation to jump into the industry?
I have been modeling for a little over 12 yrs, I love being in front of the camera..Its like second nature to me.
I have to ask you...where are you from? and where you reppin now? because you do have some ties to my hometown of Wilmington, NC...
I actually am from Wilmington, I was born @ New Hanover County Hospital, I live in both Chartlotte, NC and Atlanta.
Curves are the in thing...how do you keep your body in tact? gym, yoga, running, bowling, etc??
I stay away from fried foods and sweets. I love to go on long walks.
I know modeling is your thing but DJing is your passion...how is it in the DJ world?
I love it! I enjoy traveling and meeting new people. Music has always been one of my passions and I love to see people having a good time.
How is it being a DJ and a model...sometimes those worlds collide...have you ever had someone not take you serious as a DJ because you are a model as well or vice versa?
I use to have a problem when I first started out because there aren't that many female djs ..luckily I have gained the respect of my peers by working with other great djs like DJ Shakim, Supreme,
and Chill Will.
is Deltonia single???
I dont have a ring on it...
What does Deltonia look for in a boo?
I love a main in a suit, with ambition and with great conversation
Where can we see more of Deltonia??
I love what I do..Look forward to hearing me on the radio in various markets as well as traveling the globe rockin parties. You can google Deltonia Cannon or go to my website www.deltoniacannon.com twitter: @djdeltoniacannon

CORE MODEL MONI B: Not the Average Model!
I always have the pleasure of being around
beautifal women...because of me being in the Core DJs...the Core Models
are some of the most beautifal women from around the world...with that
being said...There is a new model on the scene that is actually from
Wilmington, NC and you know I had to get her on Bigg B's World! Welcome
Moni B!
Moni B..How did you get into the world of modeling?
*
I never considered my self to be a 'model.' However I am grateful to my
family and friends that saw something in me that I didn't. I started
out with Black Barbie Ent. From there I began participating as an Escape
Model and Gaddy Girl and now I am a Core Model. This is just the
beginning.
Were you ever discouraged from modeling?
* There
were times that I second guessed myself. I would compare myself to
other models and think that maybe I wasn't good enough. Along with me
growing as a woman I started to understand that there is one me, and I
am unique in my own way. I learned to love myself and everything about
me. In the field of modeling you have to have a tough skin but most
importantly believe in yourself when no one else does.
How do you feel about the model industry labeling women of color with curves "Urban Models?"
*
Women of color are known to have curves and be voluptuous. We are the
definition of 'eye candy." Not all of us are a size 2 or 3 and we don't
fit that typical runway model prototype. Often times we are labeled as
"urban models" however that does not limit what we are capable of
doing.
There is a trend of new models that are dark-skinned, curvy, and not as tall as the 6ft runway model do you think that's a good thing?
*
I am a brown skinned model that is far from 6 ft tall. I think it is
great that the modeling industry is welcoming a variety of skin tones
height, weight, etc. Each and every woman is different and each woman
has their own version of what it is to be sexy. That in itself is
beautiful!
Now, I have seen your curves but you have brains to match...tellem
what university you graduated from...also you are a Sorority
woman...lettem know...
*
It's very important to be as attractive mentally as it is physically. I
graduated from UNC-Wilmington in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Communication Studies. I was very active while on campus. while there I
became a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. (EEEEEee-yip) in the
Fall of 2006. I was also a member of NAACP as well as the Black Student
Union.
As a model do you have to be mindful of who is really trying to do business and who is trying to holla?
*I
think that it is very important to distinguish the two. From the
beginning you have to make sure that it is understood that you are about
your business. Once that line is crossed, it is very hard to steer back
to business. If someone cannot understand that you are business only or
you feel uncomfortable in a business situation then more than likely
it's not a situation you want to put yourself in.
What do you think is your most attractive feature?
*I would have to say my most attractive feature are my eyes.
Single or in a relationship? Is it hard being in a relationship being the model that you are?
*I
am currently single, however as a model it can be hard to be in a
relationship for many different reasons. That's why it is important to
be with someone who understands and respects what you do.
How does a guy catch Moni B's eye (without being Bigg B lol)?
*LOL!
Well... I am very picky when it comes to men. I haven't always been
that way, but you learn from your mistakes. I love a gentleman. Be
yourself and know how to understand a woman's mind and the way that she
loves. I love a momma's boy, chances are they learned first hand how to
treat a woman.
I'm witnessing you grow into a very professional model...where are
you going from here...or what do you want to do on the model tIip?
*I am
growing, but there is so much more to learn. I have been honored to be a
part of the Core DJ organization so I have great experience and mentors
to learn from. This is just the beginning but you will definitely be
seeing more of Mon!B.
How can we see more of Moni B?? give us the twitter, facebook fan page, instagram etc...
* You can keep up with me on both Twitter and Instragram @iammonib. I'll follow back!

Back Again: Model Jaye L
When I first started biggbsworld.com, I interviewed my neighbor, Jaye L, who had been modeling just for a short few years......Well since then she has been on the cover of a few magazines and is really turning into that “Chick.” So I was able to party with her on Christmas night and wanted to interview her again to see where she was at in this modeling game...plus she flirted with me to get an interview...naaaaw I'm kidding.
Since the last time I interviewed you on the site what has been happening in your modeling career?
I've been doing a little modeling here and there. Trying to expand myself and not just do Eye Candy. I've had a few shoots where I'm actually clothed.
I see you have switched up some photographers as well...who do you like working with now and why?
I like working with different photographers to get different looks and styles of pictures. So far I love working with this photographer in Raleigh named Larry Dixon.
Well, we were together on Christmas and it seemed as if you had been working out and losing weight...is this to get some more covers or for you in general just being healthy...because you are....uh...healthy...LOL?
I'm doing it for my health. I get people telling me all the time "Don't lose too much weight" or "You look fine" and that irritates me so much. I don't care about what my body looks like I just don't want to have to pop blood pressure pills and whatever else when I get older.
Have the measurements changed at all? ...hopefully not the..nevermind.
I can honestly say that I don't know. I haven't measured myself in forever. LoL
I've talked to models a lot last year and they seem as if when going to a photo shoot that some folks think that is the time to try to holla or get in your ear....have you experienced this? What happened???
Well with that I say "You get what you put out." You can't go to a shoot unsure because if they sense that they will try you. You can't flirt with these photographers and then expect them NOT to pursue when you're at their shoot half naked. Be up front so they will know that it's strictly business. Luckily for them no one has ever tried me. LoL as you can see on my Facebook I don't mind calling someone out. I think they know not to go down that road.
Yea man, yea.
Do you think that when you tell folks that you model they think negatively?? or approach you different?
I don't tell folks that I model for that reason. I don't want to be looked at differently. I've been modeling for years before anyone knew locally. Not because I'm ashamed but because I want them to look past that. This isn't me, just another side of me.
Well I have a lot of shoots coming up for magazines and magazine submissions so hopefully one of those will land another cover. I will also be shooting videos soon and hopefully be in some with well known artist locally and worldwide. Body paint huh? I'm SO thinking about it. LoL and on I'm also talking with someone about starting my own site. So we will see how it all works out.
How can we keep up with you? Give us the twitter, facebook, website..booking info!!!
